I thought a lot about comfort zones and the comfortable pods that most people live in, especially in cities.  I thought about the tendency to stick with what is comfortable and familiar– the fear of the unknown.  In my piece, I wanted to give people the opportunity to make unknown places comfortable; I hoped to urge people to go out into the world with a bed…or a sweater…or another item of comfort, and expand their comfort pods.
